Who we are.

At DanceWorks we believe the education of a dancer is never ending, from a young child to a professional dancer we continue to develop and perfect our craft.

DANCEWORKS PROMOTES RESPECT, TEAM SPIRIT, SELF DISCIPLINE, POISE,

and an appreciation for the Arts which will advantage our students not only in their dance careers but in their everyday life.

Principal, Miss Amy has celebrated many successes during her dance training and career, which makes her an excellent role model for those following in her foot steps or aspiring to their own dreams. Amy draws on her inner strength from past experiences including disappointments to help support her students as they face their own challenges. Amy’s goal is to guide each of them in perfecting their strengths and working harder to improve their weaknesses. She supports them in finding the courage to reach their full potential and shares the enjoyment of their every achievement.

Excellence can only be acquired through dedication, hard work and a strong rapport between student and teacher. Safe dance practice is essential and will be strictly implemented in all classes. DanceWorks is dedicated to developing strong physical technique in a caring and fun environment. We have extremely, creative and professional teaching staff and our dedicated student teachers are mentored by adult instructors in all aspects of dance including their practical training in the class environment.

DanceWorks provides and encourages Examination classes through the Syllabus, A.T.O.D. Ltd. (Australian Teacher’s of Dancing Ltd.) and is extremely proud of each student's achievement at all levels.

DanceWorks promotes close local community involvement. Although we do not directly fundraise at the school DanceWorks gives support by way of providing entertainment at local events.

2014 saw our growing school move into new, improved and larger premises with two dance areas under one roof. We boost all the conveniences of a modern, comfortable school and can be found at 15 Haigh Avenue in the Nowra CBD.

A positive reputation is of the upmost importance to the DanceWorks faculty and its volunteers. We strive to promote and maintain the integrity of all aspects of dance and teaching. We strictly follow Ausdance’s Code of Ethics for Dance Teachers. A copy of this code is on display in the foyer for all to view and appreciate.
